2012 NATIONAL CASA CONFERENCE
This year the National CASA Conference will be held in Washington DC from June 9-12. It is expected that approximately 1,400 CASA staff, volunteers and child welfare workers from around the United Stated will gather to network, attend workshops and general sessions to strengthen and expand our existing programs and to learn how to do what we do even better. After the conference, be part of a delegation bringing the voices of children to Capitol Hill as part of the 2012 CASA Meets Congress. CASA Volunteers needed for National Adoption Day
This year's event will be at the Worcester Trial Court, 225 Main Street, on Friday, November 18, 2011. All volunteers should be present from 8:00 am until noon. We will help families negotiate the day - show them where activities take place, stay with them while they wait for court, and make sure they don't miss their adoption time with the judge.
If you are available to help on this day, please call Albana at (508) 757-9877 to register or email at axhemollari@thecasaproject.org. A confirmation letter and complete instructions will be sent to all CASA's who can help.
As a thank you, all CASA GALs, DCF and Court Staff are invited to lunch in the JURY POOL room. Lunch will be served at the conclusion of the adoptions, at approximately 12:00 noon.
